TL;DR: Recurring events can now be specified to end by date or number of instances

Just two weeks into 2019, and we’ve already got new features to release! One of Eventbot’s most popular features is the ability to create a recurring event inside Slack. Teams often use these recurring events for weekly standups, regular check-ins, or just constant reminders. Our own team uses a few recurring events every month to keep us informed.

Slack advanced options calendarPreviously, you could create a recurring event with a frequency to repeat, which would continue until you cancelled the event. Now you can specify a date for the recurrence to end or the total number of instances to be repeated. This makes is easier to set up your recurring event once, knowing that Eventbot will take care of the rest.

This feature is on the Team Plan, same as recurring events, so you can start using it today. To set the recurrence end date or the number of instances just fill in the new field in the Advanced Options window. You can enter a date or a single number of instances and we’ll do the rest.

Do you have any other ideas to improve recurring events? Let us know! We’d love to hear from you!
